Where do you go to make space for God? For some of us that's at church, during devotions, in nature or all of the above. For others, if we're honest, we know that God can easily get squeezed out of our lives. We want Compelling2011 to be a place where you can re-engage if needed and grow your relationship with God. We also hope that Compelling will be a space where your vision for the campus is broadened and where your love for your campus grows. We hope you get to know people in your chapter better and gain skills, vision and initiative to see more of your fellow students come to know Jesus. Jonah was someone who knew God. If you look at his prayer in chapter two, it appears that he was familiar with a number of Psalms. However, he was trying to get as far away from God and God's call in his life as he could. He found space with God in a very unusual place. God's love abounds in the book of Jonah and we can all relate to this man's humanity. We hope that you'll seriously consider joining 700 students from all over Michigan at Compelling2011. All of us will be enjoying worship and a dynamic speaker who will unpack the Old Testament book of Jonah for us and even help us understand the SIGN of Jonah. You can pick a track that fits your spiritual need or year in school. Our tracks will average around 50 - 60 people. You'll get time alone with God, with people from your chapter and school and a chance to hang out on Michigan State's beautiful campus. Possibly this is the space for which you have been looking.
